TEST 1 – LIFT

PART A
3 minutes maximum weight: Shoulder-to-Overhead

PART B
3 minutes maximum weight: Ground-to-Shoulder

PART C
3 minutes maximum reps: Ground-to-Overhead

Standards
Part A
Bar must travel from shoulders to fully locked out position overhead
Bar must be in contact with shoulders at start of movement
Bar must be locked out overhead, ears showing in front
Bar must be controlled overhead
Athletes must wait for the ‘Good Rep’ call from the judge before lowering weight
Bar must be lowered back to shoulders before being lowered to floor
Bar must start on floor i.e. no passing of barbell to team mate from rack position

Part B
Bar must travel from the ground to the shoulders in one continuous movement
Athlete must be in a fully extended position with the bar on shoulders at finish
Athletes must wait for the ‘Good Rep’ call from the judge before lowering weight

Part C
Bar must travel from the ground to overhead meeting the above standards for the Ground-to-Shoulder and Shoulder-to-Overhead portions of lift

The following movements are allowed:
A – Press, Push-Press, Power Jerk, Split Jerk, Squat Jerk
B – Squat Clean, Power Clean, Split Clean
C – Any combination of the movements in A and B

Teams will get three scores:
A – Total weight = Athlete 1 + Athlete 2 (kg)
B – Total weight = Athlete 1 + Athlete 2 (kg)
C – Total output = reps x weight

There will be no transition time, teams will go straight from A-B and from B-C.

The weight for C must be confirmed to judge at commencement of the 3 minutes and cannot be altered during the timeframe.
